The EU funded “Catalytic Support to Peacebuilding in Sri Lanka Programme” is mandated to ensure early confidence building measures to build trust which will contribute positively to peacebuilding in Sri Lanka. Output 4.2 of the project implemented by UN-Habitat, seeks to ensure  that vulnerable households in the Northern Province are supported to secure their land tenure rights. This video highlights the story of Ms.Muthukumar Sandrakanthi of Kilinochchi district, whose land was surveyed through the project.  UN-Habitat is implementing this component of the project through the Ministry of Lands and Parliamentary Reforms, to ensure that post conflict resettled families secure their tenure rights. Sandrakanthi’s land is among 10,000 allotments surveyed by the Survey Department.
