The Indian Housing Project is a housing reconstruction project funded by the Government of India and implemented through a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Sri Lanka. UN-Habitat is one of the implementing agencies responsible for the construction and repair of 17,945 conflict damaged houses. The project is implemented through a homeowner driven methodology in the districts of Jaffna, Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu in Sri Lanka’s Northern Province.
